SOP - Speed Enforcement Unit
Our Mission
Speeding is one of the leading causes of vehicle collisions. The mission of Speed Enforcement is to act as a deterrent and reactionary force to decrease the amount of speeding vehicles on the roadway. Each vehicle is equipped with radar, and officers utilising this division must have theirs on.
Officers using the SEU vehicle are able to respond to normal calls and engage in pursuits as regular units. They may not transport suspects, as the SEU vehicle lacks a back seat and cage.
Do keep in mind that a patrol with a fewer number of LEOs may not have unit availability to transport a suspect should an SEU Officer need to arrest someone. With that being said, it is encouraged that SEU vehicles be used when it is convenient to do so for other units.
Recommendation & Training
Each individual must be recommended by their LEO department head with agreement from the department’s chain of command.
Dedicated SEU trainers and Senior TEU Officers perform training for this subdivision. Any member accepted into SEU will be contacted and notified about when training will be held.
Unit’s Role
The primary goal of the unit is to engage speeding vehicles and curb the dangers on the roadway. Any member of SEU must be able to identify different roads and their speed limits with ease, as SEU has jurisdiction across every department in every corner of the state.
SEU officers using the SEU vehicle may not ride along with officers who are not trained in SEU. Both members of the car must be SEU trained.
Please note that due to the vehicle's lack of a ram bar and its price, the Dodge Challenger shouldn't be used for ramming / blocking in vehicles if at all possible (use discretion).
Training Officer Exemption
This vehicle has been found to be exemplary when training new officers, therefore mentors and training officers, who are already SEU certified, have been given an exemption and may run SEU while doing a ride along for educational purposes. Any training officer or mentor found to be abusing this and running SEU with a non-SEU member that is not in the process of being mentored will lose this ability.
Pursuit Policy
You may NOT ask/offer to join a pursuit or attach yourself to a pursuit. If the units in a pursuit request you to join, as the SEU vehicle is quite fast and agile, you may join. Failure to abide by this can result in disciplinary action or the loss of the SEU certification.
Training Course
The training course for the unit is the same as the Traffic Enforcement Unit. This course is fully designed to test a trainee’s skill as a driver in various different types of environments and conditions. Trainees will need to follow the trainer without wrecking the vehicle or going off course. Instances of desync and “AI being AI” can be disregarded and will not count against the trainee. Keep in mind that anything done by their own driving will be considered a fail.
Vehicle Structure
The only approved vehicle for SEU is the Dodge Challenger with each officer’s respective departmental livery applied.

Disciplinary Policy
SEU utilizes a three strike system. You can receive a strike for breaching the SEU SOP, Law Enforcement SOP, or any other policy. SEU is given to those who display excellent abilities as a LEO, therefore, those who are certified will be held to a higher standard.
1st Strike - Verbal Warning
2nd Strike - Written Warning
3rd Strike - Removal of SEU certification
Failed Training / Unit Removal
Removal from SEU comes from LEO CoC or the leader of SEU. Whether a trainee fails their training or is removed from the unit, the following will apply to them in either situation:
1st Fail/Removal - Retraining after 30 Days. Must receive another recommendation.
2nd Fail/Removal - Disqualified from unit for 6 Months. After 6 Months, they must receive another recommendation.
