TA Trainer's Guide

The entirety of Transit Police training will take place in-game.

Trainer spawn at 95 Autotopia Dr in the front parking lot, this is the LSIA SAPTA yard.

  • Introduce the new officer to the Transit Police and ask general questions about the SOP.

  • Ask the trainee specifically about the Transit Police jurisdiction and operating areas

    • Introduce the trainee(s) to the SAPTA bus yards at 95, 207, and 3012.

    • Show the trainee the bus terminals at 1033 Niland (Sandy), 932 Senora Road (on the curve between Baytree Canyon Road and Senora Road facing Harmony), 728 in the south parking lot of Palmer-Taylor Power Station along the east fence facing North.

  • Explain to the trainee that while in a bus or train you are in extremely close quarters with possibly dangerous suspects and innocent, and hand to hand combat may be your only option for defense or close range weapons such as taser or baton. However, de-escalation should always be the top option in such locations.

After explaining the above, bring the trainee to 681 the Portola Drive underground train station, explain foot patrols as described in the SOP.

  • Have them enter into the metro line alignment (train tracks) and have them perform their own abilities of investigation for one of the following scenarios

    • Vehicle on the rails

    • Trespasser on the alignment

    • Minor train accident

    • Station/Alignment Fire

Remind the trainee that BEFORE they ever even access the alignment they need to have a hi vis vest on, and must contact (through /ooc) the rail line to shut down train operations, and power to the overhead catenary wires if necessary.

At the end of training go over the pursuit and all call policies for Transit Authority. If questions arise for CVE Training, explain to them that they need to be a Transit Police Officer for at least 30 days and then they can sign up for a training for CVE as CVE is now the intermediate training for TA.
