Transporting an individual under arrest to a prison / jail or any other Government building
Mutual aid at the request of another local department
To assist a fellow officer in peril or initiating / continuing a vehicle pursuit or assisting in an βAll Callβ situation
All GVPD must go 10-41 or 10-42 from 2009 Grapeseed Main St. Itβs the bank.
Law Enforcement Policy
GVPD officers are required to follow all other procedures and policies as listed in the AG Law Enforcement SOP while conducting their service. These include but are not limited to the following:
Proper RTO in LEO frequency; Voice must be spoken normally and clearly
Proper care and custody or any detained or arrested persons or property
Proper use of force as per the βUse of Force Triangleβ and AG LEO SOP
All officers must be respectful and courteous as all other LEO departments require
GVPD Officers may ride along with units from other departments as long as the GVPD Officer is the driver.
Community Outreach Officers
Community Outreach Officers specialize in assisting the local farming and fishing community with any issues they may have that require law enforcement. They may patrol as normal GVPD officers but may only drive the Bronco due to the rough roads their jobs require them to frequently drive. CO officers will do their best to maintain a healthy and friendly relationship with Grapeseedβs working class population and ensure work and trade can continue without any external interference. Outreach Officers do not have access to radar units in the Tahoe and should instead focus on their duties in the town proper.
Going Active GVPD
All units will gear up at their designated locations such as the Grapeseed Station and go 10-8 as normal LEO by calling into dispatch or manually in the CAD. GVPDβs designator is βGβ or βGolf/Georgeβ. Do note that if the AOP is larger than Grapeseed jurisdiction and you are the only available officer you may not run GVPD as you may need to respond to calls in other towns / cities. No more than 2 GVPD cars can be patrolling at once. These can be 2 person cars but the vehicles on the street count cannot exceed 2.
